Your DREAM Life – Teaming up with God

Did you know that the word, “dream” or “dreams” is in the Bible 118 times? Dreams can be a big deal. Nations have been changed because of a dream. People have been arrested by God on the road to destruction. Dreams alter the outcome of things.

When was the last time you had a dream like that?

Recently, I dreamed about one of my colleagues in S.E. Asia. She was preaching to a big crowd and God’s Presence was bursting over the meeting. As she preached, folks who were demon possessed started screeching and she needed a team around her. I dropped her a quick note.

She wrote back, “Thanks for the email. I ministered on the 3rd of January and five of my team members were with me and I am experiencing what you have seen in the dream.”

The Lord sent her some well placed encouragement. You know what? It’s an adventure to partner with God like this. Dreams can be warnings or course corrections. They can be a reminder or release insight on priorities. They can be regional or international.

Sometimes we don’t get dreams because we don’t ask. ASK. You might as well ask, because you’ll be sleeping for one third of your life anyway.

Knowing Where Your Dream Came from:

  1. Dreams from the Lord are vivid and memorable.
  2. They may or may not be connected to anything you already know in the natural about a person or situation.
  3. A dream from God will line up with Scripture.

How to Catch A Dream:

  1. Before you go to bed, ask the Lord for a dream (have a pen and paper nearby).
  2. Once you get a dream, pray and ask the Lord what it means.
  3. Is there someone that you need to share that dream with? Is it for encouragement or exhortation? OR is it just a prayer assignment?

Get ready, it’s a joy to team up with God in the dream arena!

” ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.’ ” -Acts 2:17 (also Joel 2:28)
