Curse Your Neighbor – Curse Yourself

Are you cursed?
Cursed is he who strikes his neighbor in secret. -Deuteronomy 27:24

dog-muzzle2Are you talking bad about your neighbor, your co-worker, your boss, your teacher, your spouse, the guy who’s driving to slow, etc.

Are you striking out with your words? if so, then you bring a curse upon yourself. Actually, God looks on the heart. So you are cursing yourself even if you allow hateful, abusive, or vengeful thoughts to go unchallenged.

Today is your day to clean up your act. Shut down your gossip, and abusive talking about others. Set a guard on your thoughts and repent each time they stray. You will never enjoy the full blessings of God until you stop cursing yourself. Curse your neighbor, curse yourself! It’s just that simple.

Abba Father, I come to you today in the precious name of Jesus. I come through the precious blood, and I come to repent of my tongue, and ask you not only to forgive me, but cleanse me of all unrighteousness. It is only because you chose me, that I can come to you for forgiveness. Help me to bless others, and not talk badly about them. We have the privilege to bless, and I choose to bless others. I thank you for your great mercy and long suffering with me. Help me to extend that same kind of mercy to others. I just pray that I.can be a woman of peace, and offer that peace to others. Thank you for choosing me.,Guide me, lead me, direct me. For your name’s sake, put a guard over my mouth.

This is a tough one but so needed. When someone does something injust the natural inclination is to want to speak of it in hopes of correction or acknowledgement or recognition of wrong action. Effectively stating disapproval of wrongdoing. I have always been good about anonymity so that I am rarely ever mentioning a name just what happened. This however is a good reminder not to mention it at all and see if just bringing it directly to Jesus can work a miracle of silent prayerful correction or remedy. The other reason to keep silent is in case there is a misunderstanding where something appears injust or unneighborly but later is found to have a reasonable explanation.
