How’s your armor holding up? If the fiery darts are gettin’ through, maybe it’s time for an upgrade.

What you need is the latest in armor piercing protection. It’s called ERA Explosive Reactive Armor. It’s what Paul was talking about in Ephesian 6:16 …in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one.

Reactive armor is 2 layers of armor with an explosive layer sandwiched in the middle. When a rocket contacts the outside armor, the explosive layer fires outwardly and disrupts or extinguishes the force of the incoming missile. In military terms it’s Explosive Reactive Armor, in biblical terms its, the Shield of Faith.

If you have the old model passive shield that’s taken too many hits, it’s time to move up to the Reactive Shield of Faith that Paul was talkin’ about. Remember, you are a child of the living God, redeemed by the Blood of Christ. When temptation comes your way, you don’t defend, you respond. Let the faith within you react against the temptation and the tempter, satan. Don’t just turn your back on him, turn and rebuke him, and drive him back to wherever he came from.

Make sure he pays for his attempt to turn you from your God. Jesus paid a great price for your freedom and if you love Him, you should react strongly to anyone or anything that attacks your relationship. If you will react, and not just defend, the devil will soon leave you alone, and go looking for someone who’s still using the old style armor.
