ABC’s -Abiding, Believing, ????
Prayer is as simple as ABC, but sometimes we forget the “C” part.

“A” is Abiding-coming into God’s presence and being reassured of who we are in Him.

“B” is Believing-reminding ourselves of His mighty promises and faithfulness.

“C” is…Now what was “C” again? Complacency? “No.” Confusion? “No.” Cappuccino! “I wish.”

Some people might think that Abiding and Believing is enough, and when it comes to salvation, that’s true, but when it comes to serving God’s purposes on the earth, we can’t stop at believing. We live in a spiritual war zone, surrounded by prisoners of war. It’s not enough for us to be close to God and to believe his promises. We have to apply those promises using the authority He has given us.

So what is the “C”? Here are some clues:

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Exodus 8:20 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning and confront Pharaoh as he goes to the water and say to him, ‘This is what the LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.

Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Psalms 17:13 Rise up, O LORD, confront them, bring them down; rescue me from the wicked by your sword.

(Answer: Confronting)

I am new to this site and I think its hard to talk to God when we don`t feel close to him….meaning not in His word enough…..or being still enough……when we think he does not hear us so why talk to him……I am 74 years of age and I have been very close as of late……but not always….even still not close enough……but I know this……He is there waiting….wanting to listen……wanting to hear us from out hearts…what matters to us…..I have found that if I just talk to Him like I would to a friend…about everything…..Starting each talk with simple words of praise and worship……Asking his forgiveness of all my ways that offend Him……..then in the name of Jesus……Just talk to him……about needs both mine and others……telling Him about how thankful I am of all He does for us…in every area of life……Just talk to him…….form a habit of meeting with Him everyday….just like you look forward to a good cup of coffee….look forward to your time in the word and talking to Jesus.
