Kathleen, Thanks for the messages. I am trying to “listen”. It seems I have plenty of time to do that now that I am retired, but I am still not sure what I am supposed to be doing. Wish it was crystal clear! But I am happy and have to trust Him to reveal it as He will…
It’s easy, as we grow in the Lord to allow good things to become the enemy of the best, because our capacity for doing good increases; and it’s during that season, that we need to listen closely to God. Because stuff that should be in the front seat gets tossed into the back…and then the things that should be leading us down the road become extra duties and burdens that we never really develop into something, like He intended. A garden never takes care of itself and by His grace we need to be diligent to tend and attend to the key and appointed things He’s ordained for each of us. Not easy. But still possible with Him. LOVE too each one of you! Kathleen
Great Word as usual. The Word of the Lord to me for the past two weeks has been FOCUS OR WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS. Walking together in Christ, Love, Steve and Julie
Thanks Kathleen. You know you are my “new hero.” What you’ve gone through recently and your “carrying on” in the Lord has been a GREAT witness to me and I’m sure to many of us. Your word today is EXACTLY what I’ve been hearing (through Elijah List) and experiencing over the past weeks. Jesus is coming very near to us and desires, no demands, that we draw close to him for it is time……. it’s time for love, it’s time to connect, it’s time to “build” him a place. As I spend more time with him, this place is becoming very concrete to me. And it’s getting far easier and “faster” to get to–it’s just a praise away. Thank you again for being who you are in Jesus!!!! Hope you’re all doing well. Bless You, Bless You, Bless You!!!!
~LoL~Hi Kathleen, This w.o.w. brings back some humorous rememberances of the last 6 mos. of Mothers life. I, much more of a Mariam appeared idle alot of the time when my sisters and I were caring for her. They were what I call, ‘fuss budgets,’. The trivial stuff was mts. to them, me?, hummm, I am inclined to tune in to spiritual stuff. I could sense where mum was, and that is where I loved being. Still do. There fussed about doing none essential stuff like a bunch of clucking hens, lol. Sorry. I repeated what the Lord said to Martha when she gripped about Mary, he said,’ Martha, Martha, you worry about much,[none essentials]. But, Mary has chosen the best things. And they will not be taken from her.’ Meaning: Tough Martha. Mary is doing what pleases me,choosing to sit at me feet, learning to be an overcomer thru ME… GBY Kathleen…
Amen! Thank you, you confirm what a friend and I talked about yesterday! some days a mary and others a martha. I for one don’t want to be busy and miss what the Lord would want me to do in prayer time, relationships, or ministry! Amen Kathleen!
xo in Christ,
Terri
Uuuuuuugh!!! Nailed again!!!! I started my summer break from teaching a week ago today and I’ve been running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off (Like, where’s my mind??!!!?) overwhelmed and uncentered trying to take care of all the things in my home and personal life neglected over the past 10 months of teaching school. I’ve felt the Holy Spirit calling me to intercession ALL morning long today - even wearing this little prayer shawl thing while I’m frantically working around the house??!!! It looks kind of like an I Love Lucy version of intercession. Egad! So, I’m going to stop, right now and go get with the Lord!!!
Much love, Martha, NOT, Marta
Amen! When one becomes over 80 and in ill health, the ministry for them, I guess, is prayer. Which I do
Thanks, Kathleen.
Thank you for this word Kathleen. I pray that my relationship with God will be strengthened as I seek to spend time with Him each day. God help us to draw even closer and spend quality time with you that we may hear what you have planned for us to do and move in that plan. AMEN
Thank you also Kathleen for your encouraging word to keep on keeping on with our prayers. I sometimes struggle and wonder if my prayers have any effect at all. Your recent message to us was encouraging to me. GOD we bow our heads before you and ask for the nations of the world to be saved and become the inheiritance of our Lord Jesus. AMEN
AMEN! Thanks, sis.
as always, a good word
love you, Kath
Jeanne and Tom
Thank you for listening to HIM, Kathleen. I needed that reminder.
