When this life is over and we meet the Glorified Jesus, our hearts will be so filled with awe and gratitude that we will be overcome with the desire to present Him with some token of our devotion and affection.
When you reach into your spiritual purse for something to give your King what will you find there? Will there be other souls saved because of you? Hours of intercession that captured a breakthrough? Or maybe unselfish service to the poor and needy? Are you giving your time, money and effort to things that fill your spiritual purse?
Now is the time. On that day it will be too late, like the 10 virgins who missed the wedding. Now is the time to fill your purse with tributes to your King. Don’t be ashamed at His coming, have a full purse so you can join the celebration laying it all down at His feet.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;” -Matthew 6:19-20
