Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
You know this verse isn’t about hard times coming to you. It’s about God’s call taking you into challenging situations. “When you pass through the waters” is about crossing the river to get to your destiny, not a flood sweeping into your life. “When you walk through the fire” indicates an intentional stepping into a hot situation, not a fiery trial coming to test you.
You only have 2 choices, you can take a passive protective approach to life and let the trails and difficulties come to you, or you can step boldly into challenging situations for God’s glory. The difference is, one choice comes with God’s mighty promise of provision and protection, the other choice doesn’t.
