Hi!
May God’s peace secure the edges of your life and His light shine brighter and brighter upon you and through you.
Being a prayer ministry, often people write and ask, “Hey, what about the prayers that aren’t getting answered? Where am I supposed to put that?”
Here is a powerful prayer that touched me recently. Can I share it with you?
“I believe in the sun when it isn’t shining.
I believe in love even when I am alone.
I believe in God even when He is silent.”
This prayer was graffiti found in 1945 on the wall of a basement in Koln, Germany,
where a Jewish believer is thought to have been hiding from the
Gestapo. (taken from: “God on Mute: Engaging the Silence of Unanswered Prayer” Pete Greig
We all wrestle with unanswered prayer. Do you mind if I ask you some questions?
-If God answered ALL of your prayers, would that be the best thing for you?
-If you never had to trust God in the dark, would you be weaker or stronger?
-Is God still present, in the absence of answers to your prayers?
What is God’s word to us? “Press on for your reward is sure.”
With you before His throne!

P.S.-tonight I’m sending a sick friend a prayit-sayit card, you can do it too, reach out and bless someone, Prayercentral makes it easy at:

In 1962, we were praying for our five year old son. He had a brain tumor, but we had seen God heal many, so we prayed for Jeff. God spoke to me one night and asked, “If Jeff is not healed, will you still love Me?” I said, “Yes.” The next day Jeff died and we cried much together. But one day later we had the victory, and later that year I said “Yes” again to God when he called me into the ordained ministry. How did I get the victory in grief so completely, even though our prayers were not “answered?” Because God spoke to me, and we came to love Him more than ever before!
Thanks Kathleen
Your words are very encouraging, especially the prayer graffiti, it does boost my faith
Once many years ago (around 15 yrs) having read John 15:7 and as a test, I believed God for the best pair of shoes and jacket I had ever seen. I was sorely disappointed and angry with God for a long time because the answer never came. Over the past year God has blessed me over and beyond my expectation and guess what? I have absolutely no desire for the shoes and jacket.
In Christ,
Kenneth.

Hello kathleen, my daughter has been not feeling well.
I spent some time with her, Then yesterday I had to go to the Dr. for three hours, something was wrong with my heart, but i feel better today. they are doing some
tests. I know the Lord will bring me through. I make
so many mistakes lately. I need to rest some.
Love you much Julie
kathleen,
Your timing is so perfect? And, Why am I not surprised? Many thanks, and God bless you and the Dillards as you continue this beautiful ministry. What a powerful team of prayer warriors in these uncertain times.
With grateful heart,

God never leaves prayers unanswered.
He loves us enough to make us wait until we are mature and strong and ready to receive our blessing, and He loves us enough to tell us “No” sometimes. Thank God we don’t always get what we ask for.
When He says “No”, it is because He has something better for us.
I received a great answer for this question:
God answers all prayers from the faithful. His answer may be “Done.”, it might be “Not just yet - I have many blessings interacting, and I know just the right time to grant yours.”, or it might be “No.”, in which case (if we’re patiently listening and watching), He will provide a better answer than we could have imagined, according to His plan for our life, not usually according to what we thought was a good plan of our own design.
We have an awesome God !
I love the powerful prayer that you shared, and the three questions that you asked.
May God continue to bless you,and give you His strength to carry on His work - until then
Love
Yes, this little prayer written on the wall in Germany connects with my heart. We believe. We believe in every situation good or bad, God is there. We know He hears and we know He has a plan. We trust Him for grace to leave the outcome always to Him who is perfect in power, love, and wisdom. What matters is that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Thank you for these inspirational thoughts, Kathleen, and blessings on you and the girls.
Love,
Carol Lyles
Hey Kath,
Thinking of you and the girls…We love you!
Thanks for the hopeful prayer you sent out. It really reminded me of a word the Lord gave me when we were worshipping at Last Days Ministries on Oct.28, 1994. I thought I should share it and hope it will minister to you and others…..
“Without darkness, there cannot be light.
Without confusion, there cannot be wisdom.
Without sorrow, there can be no joy.
Without death, there can be no life.
Without Me, there can be no life.
I am the Way, the Truth, the Life.
Let the light of My life shine brightly.
The light of My Spirit will give new life.
The light of My Spirit will give new joy.
The light of My Spirit will lift you to new places.
Do not despair in darkness, because the light of My Love will shine.
Open your hearts to receive My Light and My Love for You.
For I long to give you every good thing
which I have stored up to give to you my children.
I long to give you every good thing.
Let the Light of My Spirit in your heart
make way for the good things alone.”
Thank you and God bless you Kathleen for the timely encouragement. As we face uncertainty, I praise and rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ as we are holding tight and standing by faith on the promises of God’s answers to our prayers for healing and deliverance from the enemy’s attack. Trusting in His love and mercy for you, Jessica and Julia, Lilian
This just touched my heart dear Kathleen.
To think that a Jewish believer had so much faith that to be discouraged would be what most belivers would be—but that believer encouraged himself in the Lord at that time. I believe the Holy Spirit was there at that critical time. It gives us an example to follow. Don’t fret (Ps. 37:7-9) over any situation and be patient.
Thanks for the email.
Praying for you and family.
When God lays us down to REST for a while, it is to renew ourselves in Him, to build our trust in Him, as He carries us through our weakness. When lifes cares are put on ‘hold’ we can come closer to our God, our minds ‘clutter’ gets cleared out to be able to focus on what really matters.
The apostle Paul said, “…momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison…”2Cor.4:17 And that says a lot, considering all the afflictions that Paul suffered. The main thing is that we keep holding on, to the One Who is holding on to us. There’s no regrets in that. And even better yet, usually a shining testimony that emerges from the foggy places of our lives as we press on. God BLESS YOU, and make His face shine upon you!
