You Wrestle for Heaven’s Sake

“Our praying needs to be pressed with an energy that never tires, a persistency which will not be denied, and a courage which never fails.” -E.M. Bounds

Sending you a blessing today with this bible verse:

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to the…Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles…” (2 Cor 1:2-4)

I want to ask you a question: When was the last time you wrestled? You might say, “Hey I don’t do that.” But believe it or not, the Bible does talk about wrestling.wrestler

Jacob wrestled with the angel.

David wrestled with his thoughts.

Epaphras wrestled in prayer for the church.

And Paul told us that we wrestle against powers of darkness.

Are you wrestling?

Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)

You & I must engage in the battle. It’s time to get in the ring. To be counted.

Wrestle for your family. Our school yards. Wrestle for Boston. Texas. Szechwan, China. You are right, we can’t do it all. But you & I can do the part the Lord has appointed to us. Cry out to Him, “Lord I want to see Your kingdom come. I want to see Your will be done on the earth as it is in heaven.” Wrestle for it.

In His love and mine,
