“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil…”

Hello,
I want to thank all of you who have jumped on board to pray against the sex trafficking in Delhi. For those of you who prayed, a report just came in today for you (see the P.S.).

Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil; God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

Prayer creates opportunities for pivot points of change. And that’s why you & I show up at Prayercentral.

If you don’t mind, I wanted to bring to your attention the 3 free devotionals for you on Prayercentral’s homepage.

You’ve heard me talk about Draw Near and I hope you’ve signed up for it. Even yesterday at church, one of the leaders said, “Wow, I’m loving your devotional, it’s so rich and I’m getting so much out of it!”

You can also get ABC’s of Prayer which talks about A=Abiding, B=Believing, and C=Confronting. 31 days long, it ushers you into a deeper experience with God in prayer.

The In His Name devotional is also 31 days long, highlighting 31 of the 141 names of Jesus given in the Bible. It’s inspiring and gives a power kick to your prayer life.

Let’s stay fired up, so we can burn bright for Him!

In His love and mine,
kathsign

P.S. Report on prayer outreach against sex trafficking at Commonwealth Games in Delhi:
“First of all; throughout the world people are praying round the clock! I know our Father will work through these prayers and bring permanent changes in Delhi through this! Thank you for your commitment and your prayers!

With around 12 people we were able to distribute around 30.000 flyers with full permission of the police! Out of 30.000 people we only received 1 negative comment. For the rest the responses were amazing! We met one journalism student from a large Muslim university who will publish it in the university weekly and put it on the web-site. On one of the stations two young men who were bored started helping to distribute the flyers. A very old Muslim shopkeeper, read it and then waited by the door till he saw us pass by. He came to us and said: “thank you so much for what you are doing to help these girls.” God was truly with us and his protection was on us.

We had a prayer walk in the largest red-light district. Very sad to see young girls locked up in tiny rooms. Sadly we could not talk with them as they are literally used as sex slaves.
Please continue to pray for them and pray for this area as it is a very dark place with a very strong spirit of lust.

At present there is a prayer team in Delhi who will pray in the red-light district and distribute the remaining flyers. They hope to get in contact with some of the prostitutes (possibly by paying for them and then spend time and share with them). Please do pray for them!

The wonderful news is that we have found another NGO working with the trafficked girls, they rescue and return the girls to where they came from. They are interested in working with us and we hope that out of this a future ministry among the girls will be established!
Thank you so much for your prayer!. All4Him, M.D.”

Hi, many prayers are with all of you as we ourselves are preparing and researching all inforation on human trafficking to bring to our church(es)in the area and anyone who wants to listen. I myself had a brush with someone who was involved in human trafficking and I now look back as my life is totally different and realize how fortunate and how sad that I didn’t recognize what was going on and how big that so called business is. I can not be silent any longer and I want to bring awareness to the states.

    luv & prayers,
    Dustyn

I was very disappointed that I could not reach you by email to join the prayer team. I have to use my own email system and your address didn’t work. Not to worry, I’ve been praying since the day I received Kathleen’s email and will continue to do so.

Bonhoffer’s quote is very convicting. There are so many times when I stay silent rather than face all the arguments and rejection.

My granddaughter works for International Justice Mission in D.C. which works in India among slaves. I don’t know which organization is writing this news but here is another contact for him/her. Blessings on all who do this kind of service in Jesus’ Name. God is powerful and loves these girls.

Father God, our Redeemer and restorer of our health, help these young girls’ minds be opened and see clearly through your eyes the pit of death they are into this time… restore them to your original plan for their lives which is abundant and fulfilled lives.Open the doors of those sex dens that they maybe able to come out of those prison walls wherein the enemy has placed them. We bless their oppressors with your spirit of salvation too that they may see their lives in the light of your truth, in Jesus name we pray, Amen!!!

Heavenly Father, my heart breaks for these girls, just as Your heart breaks for them. Cover them with Your Love and protection and set them free from this horrible lifestyle. I pray that each one would come in contact with Your Holy Word and read about how much You care for them, enough that You gave Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for each girl. Thank You Father and Lord Jesus, for hearing our prayers.

Oh God Almighty, Use these precious servants to penetrate the darkness in Delhi; may the light of the glorious Gospel reach the hearts of these girls and bring freedom. Drive out the legions of the enemy; bring all their efforts to naught; may this den of iniquity be emptied and closed to God’s glory. Amen!

First of all, Lord, I pray that hope is birthed in the hearts of these girls. Secondly, I pray that a true army of prayer warriors and rescuers be marshalled to free these girls and restore their self-esteem.

Praise God for all those who are moved, and pray for these young girls. There’s also International Justice Ministries rescuing many victims. Yes, I’ll continue to pray. It’s happening even here in the U.S.

http://www.exoduscry.com Dear Kathleen, thank you for the report on sex trafficking. I want you to be aware of Senate Bill 3184, which is before the Senate as of yesterday. If it passes, the US will make contracts with other countries to help end trafficking. World vision has a link to get senator’s phone numbers to call and encourage them to vote yes on this bill. Also, please visit exoduscry.com. They are very active in this endeavor as well (IHOP KC).

O Lord, destroy the plans of the evil one to ruin the lives of these these precious children that are being sexually exploited. Crush the enemy of lust and greed and sexual perversion. May the perpetrators in Delhi meet only frustration and failure in their efforts to traffick these girls and boys. Empower the team of 12 with your powerful Holy Spirit to make a difference! In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen and Amen.

If the NGO returns the rescued girls to the place they came from there is the possibility of their again being sold into prostitution by the same family members who did it before. Wouldn’t it be better to provide a safe place for them where they could be taught a trade to support themselves and have the opportunity for some education as well (e.g., being taught how to read if they are illiterate), as well as sharing the Gospel with them and helping them to grow in their faith?
