Prayed? Pray Some More

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Heb. 4:16

Hello!

Press in, get through, don’t let God go. Keep praying. Touch His throne.

Here is a prayer by Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the United States. Be patient with the language and you will get the basic idea. Let’s pray:

A Prayer for the Nation by Thomas Jefferson
Almighty God, Who has given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech Thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of Thy favor and glad to do Thy will. Bless our land with honorable ministry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people, the multitude brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endow with Thy spirit of wisdom those whom in Thy name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that through obedience to Thy law, we may show forth Thy praise among the nations of the earth. In time of prosperity fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in Thee to fail; all of which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.Washington D.C., March 4, 1801

As you and I humble ourselves before God, there is hope!

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chron. 7:14

In His love and mine,
Kathleen

Thank you! It is so hard to see God’s hand in this messy election. I pray he is working it all out for His good, even if it is temporarily bad for us as believers in the US.

Thanks so much, Kathleen. God’s the only one who can save this nation. We’ve gotten too far from his teaching! Are there enough Christians left to pray for change? God bless Franklin Graham for all he’s done this past year to unite us and bring new people to Christ!

I am constantly praying and asking God to watch over Canada and the U.S. and pray that those who would seek to take over and cause trouble here would be put out from here. and that peace would reign.

Father, Abba I am so grateful to You because I can come to You and bow my heart before You. Thank You that I was born in a free country and I ask You move all those who wish to remove Your name from our country. Help me to stand firm in You and take the stand for You that You require of Your children. As I repent for my nation as Daniel did for his hear my hearts cry and move in our behalf. Let Your mercy reign and Your love be what causes us to overcome all forces of our enemy. In Your sons name, Jesus I pray.
