He Doesn’t Just Take Your Sins – He Takes All of You

One of the most powerful messages I’ve ever heard was delivered by Leonard Ravenhill, called, “The Judgement Seat of Christ.” I heard Leonard preach this twice and both times I ran deep into the woods of E. Texas to cry out to God.

You will really get something out of this message, so I’m sending you the link and 2 quick excerpts from it for you:

“There’s no burden too heavy, or no situation too hard for the one that you love. If we are love controlled, love motivated, and love energized, it will be all right when we stand up there, because if there’s anything about love – it’s obedient.”

“A brother was telling me this week that when he got baptized and went down into the water, he suddenly realized that he had his wallet in his pocket. Not many wallets get baptized! We kind of say, ‘Lord, You look after my sins. I’ll look after the rest.’ You’ll give an account to God for every penny you’ve earned since you became the property of Jesus Christ. He doesn’t just take your sins – He takes all of you.”

Holiness comes in handy in whatever nation you’re in right now. However, as we approach elections in America, I believe prayer AND repentance go hand in hand. The awesome promise God extends to you is, “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” (James 5:16)

Let’s Pray.

In His love and mine,

Kathleen Dillard

“Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.” (Psalm 24:3-4)

Lord, we come before Your throne of grace right now. We come in need of cleansing, correction, healing and direction. We come on behalf of ourselves and America at this time.

Forgive me for taking You for granted and for taking Your position in my life too lightly. For calling you Lord but then not letting You be the boss. Please forgive me for my disobedience, my delayed obedience and my conditional obedience. Forgive me not just for the wrong things I’ve done but also for the right things that I haven’t done. Forgive me for ignoring Your still small voice. For wanting to test temptation instead of flee it, like You have told me to. Forgive me for blaming others instead of seeing my own faults; and for holding on to grudges and complaining and gossiping about other people instead of praying for them. I ask as David did in Your word, ‘Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me.’ Thank You God that You discipline those that You love. Thank You for forgiveness and healing. ‘Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.’ In Jesus’ name, amen.”

 have prayed.
