Happy Mother’s Day!

Striped vase with a bouquet of yellow roses

written by Alyssa DeGraff

This weekend is the time of year where we honor some very special people. To the mothers who have loved and raised us, who have sown countless hours of service and wisdom into our lives — thank you!!!

Our team is praying this verse over you today:

“For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name…” -Hebrews 6:10

Also, I came across an interesting passage in 2 Timothy and wanted to share it with you:

“I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.” -2 Timothy 1:5

What a legacy!

I don’t know about you, but I was truly a lost prodigal. I would not be reconciled to God if it wasn’t for my patient mother and grandmother’s perseverance in prayer. One way you can bless mothers this weekend is by taking a moment to pray for the prodigals. So many mothers are still standing in prayer for their lost children – let’s lift up their arms and carry that burden!

This is also a time to share our gratitude for the spiritual mothers who have loved us as their own…

We as a staff have had a chance to work with Kathleen Dillard, who has been a source of continual inspiration to us and a real “mother in the Lord” to many. If you’d like to share a “Mother’s Day Blessing” or any encouraging word on how Kathleen has inspired you, take a minute and let her know.

In His Love,

Your Prayercentral Team
