Hi Kathleen, I so appreciate your faithfulness in ministry here and around the world. As a former service member, it is a blessing to hear the prayers and witness the appreciation for the service given. We do pray for all those currently serving as well: that their courage would remain, that their committment to serve those in harm’s way would be unwavering, and their dedication to our Lord would be a light to their path. I pray the Father would go out of His Way to let you know how much He cares for you today. 🙂 Blessings, Brother Ray.

Yes, we have so much to be thankful for in our many people that gave their lives for us to remain free. Now they are still giving their lives and we can give our thanks to God for giving His “Soldier” (Jesus) for ALL of us to remember. Many, many, many thanks!!

The note honoring our war dead was thoughtful. The picture accompanying the note was inspiring. The caption “Happy” Memorial Day was tone deaf and terribly unsuitable. Memorial – memory – remembering – honoring – any of a number of words could have been used rather than happy. Am I happy that members of my family and others I have known gave their lives in service to our country,?NO. The 30th of May is a solemn day and I will be attending a ceremony conducted by Veterans who have known combat from WWII through today and we will collectively grieve for those who gave “the last full measure.”
    Respectfully,
