Drop Your Anchor

I made sure to get back in town in time to vote. The cool thing was going with my youngest daughter Jessica, who voted for her first time.

When the news came through about Obama’s re-election I was catching up on the phone with a friend. She told me, “Obama’s won.” To be honest I didn’t think we would have election results so soon. Immediately we dove into prayer, covering the President, his wife and their children, and then asked God what He told us to ask Him, “Let Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Right now, you & I need to drop our anchor at, “First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

Prayer continues to be key. You might remember Wayne’s poem: It’s Time to Pray.
It’s encouraging so if you have a minute, then take it in.

If you haven’t prayed for the victims of super storm Sandy, you can do that now – they still need your prayers:

May God answer you, as you seek Him~
