Don’t Climb Your Mountain, Move It!

God bless you. I hope you’re having a good day. This morning, Pike’s Peak captured my attention. Over 14,000 feet of sun-blasted glory under a crown of snow. I don’t know what you think about when you see mountains like this. Maybe you’d want to climb it; or take photos; or drive to the top. You might be content just to look at it.

But this morning I thought of Jesus’ words, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Who said that? I ask you this as a reminder. Because when it comes to promises, what matters most is the reliability of the person who makes the promise, right?

So, the question really is: are you facing a mountain that needs your mustard seed? The wonderful thing about a mustard seed is that they’re SO small. It’s encouraging that Jesus didn’t say, “If you have faith the size of a mountain, you can move a mountain.” You have to be honest and admit that most of the time you could find a mustard seed-sized amount of faith, which is even smaller then a pinch.

So, give it some thought & pray about it too. Don’t just look at the mountain, hike the mountain, or take photos of the mountain, when the Lord might be asking you to cash in your mustard seed and MOVE IT!

Ok, one last thing – did you get a chance to sign up for the new WOW devotional, “A Word for Today”??? If not, it’s FULL of encouragement, so why not do that now:

In His love & mine,

P.S. Remember to be diligent in your prayers regarding terrorist activities in the U.S. and abroad. Your prayer does make a difference!
