Hello!
Have you ever noticed that the devil kicks you when you’re down? I mean, ‘alright already,’ you’re DOWN! But that’s never enough because Jesus told us, “the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…”Jn.10:10
The reason I’m mentioning this, is because the excerpt from today’s entry in the “Draw Near,” devotional caught my eye for you:
“When you are discouraged you will be more vulnerable to temptation. That’s why I said, above all else, guard your heart.”
Draw Near Devotional
You may not know this but Prayercentral is offering this prophetic daily devotional to you for free right now. But I wanted to make sure you knew that in the near future, “Draw Near” might get moved to Amazon books. Which means it won’t be free anymore.
So, if you’re not signed up for it and you could use an occasional power jolt in your walk with God, then why don’t you subscribe now:

In closing, I’d like to quote the second part of Jesus words from Jn. 10:10, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Wishing nothing less than His ‘life to the full,’ brimming, swimming, spilling over to you and yours!
In His love and Mine,
Kathleen Dillard

I am so thankful for this sight. The prayers have so inspired me and are truly anointed by God. I ask prayer that God would have me set my priorities straight. I have been going through a lot of anxiety (which I know isn’t of God), but I know that God is doing a work. I ask prayer for my sister-in-law, who God is miraculously healing from Leukemia, that God use her and settle her that she can come into a rest. I pray that He makes me sensitive to her needs and am able to help.
May God bless you as you have blessed so many others.
Thank you for this post. I need prayer for favor with my former employer APAC. I am nearly out of money and need a financial miracle ASAP
Thank you for all the work that you do…may God bless you always!
As I read this this morning, I have a heavy heart. I’ve been a prayer warrior for many others, and now I’m asking prayer. Yesterday was an especially long day as I’m dealing with some issues, but as I was getting ready for bed, I learned that my best friend had a heart attack. I know God never gives us more than we can handle, but one has to question that at times. I’d appreciate your prayers at this time. THANKS and GOD BLESS!!!
Thank you for sharing when I’m sure you’ve been the devil’s target. I hope and pray that you are strong in the Lord. I pray that you will have your cup overflowing as you have sown so much you surely deserve and are promised to reap. God bless you because He has blessed us through you.
You shine for Jesus so beautifully and I know that light won’t grow dim!
In Him with you
How are you and your family Kathleen? I am sure the devil is trying to give you some kicks right now. I pray and hope there are lots of people rallying around you to hold you up and protect you. It seems you are always giving even through these tough times and I pray in JESUS NAME that you are also receiving Strength and Power and an Extra Measure of HIS Awesome LOVE!!! Blessing on you and don’t be afraid to take a break and get away once in awhile. Love in JESUS Dwight P.S. You are and inspiration!
Hi Kathleen - May God continue to bless you for your warrior spirit! As so many others have said already, your word was so timely for me. I have been experiencing terrible joint and muscle pain - When it did not go away, I finally went to the doctor. He called the other day to say that my tests have come back postitive for autoimmune disease, and he suspects lupus. Not a fun diagnosis, but I continue to trust God to help me overcome the trials and experience the abundant life. He is in control! All the more reason to spend time in the word and in prayer to fight the devil!
Kathleen? Are you in my house today? How did you know that was exactly what was up today!!! Crazy! Thank you for this note…right on target!
Thank you so much for your constant encouragement to “lift our eyes to Jesus the author and finisher or our faith!” I am praying that our Lord would daily pour into you and your girls the abundant love and comfort of the Holy Spirit. Praying that your last assignment in India would continue to bear eternal fruit of souls and more souls. May the goodness of God overtake you and your family.
Dear Kathleen,
Greetings to you and the girls!
Thank you so much for these encouraging words. I am inspired and motivated to keep trusting under all circumstances. Always being aware of Jn 10:10
…. the thief is after the Abundant life that I have been given.
Blessings to you my Big Sister. Continue to be used up for the Master.
In His Service,
Gloria D
Kathleen, Thank you for being sensitive to the Lord. This word was just what I needed for this day and time. Praise and Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. Bless you.
Dear Kathleen,
I love the daily devotions; they always inspire me. I love praying with others on the Patrols each day. Praise the Lord for comforting you and equipping you to carry on this work. Know that you and the girls are loved and prayed for daily. God bless you all.
Thank you for hearing and obeying Gods voice! This is exactly the encouragement and guidance I needed this and I appreciate you so very much
Lately I have been deeply discouraged so this is a timely word for me. It seems like things just keep getting worse and there is nothing I can do to help. I am waiting on approval for social security due to illness. I got ill and lost my job, then our home, and now we are not even making ends meet. My husbands check is being garnished for medical bills and we are 3 months behind on our rent and storage. I feel so overwhelmed and frustrated. This trial seems to be continuing with no let up. But I do love the Lords word especially Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” When I think I can not go on I look at this verse and know that some way and some how he will get us out of this situation and give us another home and stability. When all else fails God will not.
Hi Kathleen. Over the past week I have been meditating on my own level of prayer and asking God to lift it higher. So high, in fact, that one day I ask Him to help me make a request of Him that will make Him sit upright on His throne, roll up His sleeves and say to those around Him, ” Now that’s a request!” Thanks for this article and the draw-near devotional. I am encouraged by them to press in in prayer. God bless you.
In Christ,
Kenneth
