Courage in the Face of Crisis

If you have been following the bombings at the Boston marathon then your heart is probably heavy like mine.

I heard that after some of the marathon runners crossed the finished line, they went directly to local hospitals to donate their blood. This type of response is one that you & I can also have in the face of injustice or violence toward the innocent.

“Courage is not simply one of the virtues,
but the form of every virtue at the testing point.”
-C.S. Lewis

Let’s continue to pray for those in critical condition. And let’s pray for God’s presence to be manifested among each family impacted by this tragedy.

Let’s lift our voices to God.

“Lord we ask for Your comfort to be manifested among the victims of the bombings in Boston. Grant ‘escapes from death’ to those who are in critical condition. Be with the doctors and nurses, give them strength and special skill. We ask that Your nearness would enwrap the injured, uphold each family member impacted and overshadow those who have been struck by bereavement.

We also ask for divine help to touch all law enforcement and investigators. We ask that the hidden things would be revealed. Let justice be served that sends a curbing impact on evil acts like this.

Release Your protection, Your sheltering care and draw many to the refuge of Your unfailing love in this traumatic event. In Jesus’ name.”

 have prayed.

In His love and mine,
Kathleen Dillard
