Birth Pains and Rewards

You have received some prayer from us. Have you felt it? Have you seen any results yet? Please keep us posted, would you?

You know, the need for prayer and for people who do it, is increasing by the minute. The good news is that Jesus framed these uncertain times by talking about giving birth. When you see nation rising against nation, earthquakes, famines, these are the pressures that lead to a new beginning. The birthing process is a pain but it is met by a tremendous reward.

In the meantime, Jesus says, “And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.” That’s why we pray. Because prayer opens access to Him. To His authority. To His desire. To His unfailing love.

I wanted you to take a minute and check out this powerful article just posted on the Win-10/40 Reporter.

It’s about the prayer focus we’re hosting in the Himalaya’s. Please don’t miss your chance to jump in and make some history with YOUR prayers at the High Places Prayer Patrol.

Lastly, if you sent in a prayer request, below are the scriptures and thoughts that the Lord released to our little team as we lifted you before Him.

Sending you all a HUG.

May you & I exhaust our access to His throne in 2013!

Prayer thoughts from Nora, for you:

Hello, I enjoyed praying for you. Below are the scriptures that seemed to keep coming as I prayed for you. The other thought that came strong in prayer is that you would be able to hear the wisdom that God is wanting to release. And that you would be willing to apply that wisdom in your situation. Some of your will have tough decisions to make but you can’t blame God for whatever you are not doing in response to His truth and guidance. I also prayed that you would ‘FEEL’ the presence of God and that it wouldn’t just be a mental exercise. That you would know His vigilance, commitment and care for you.

“You will keep him in perfect peace, who’s mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” (Is. 26:2-3 & vs. 4)

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God’ and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Phil.4:6-7)

“Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation; the fear of the Lord is his treasure.” (Is. 33:6)

Prayer thoughts from Alyssa, for you:

I had a strong impression of Psalm 72 while praying. I encourage you to read it yourself, but the passage talks about Jesus’ leadership over the lives of the poor, bringing justice, crushing the oppressor. I feel like He really wants to bring retribution to the enemy.

I also had the Lord bring me to John 15, the passage about abiding and bearing fruit. I feel like many people have experienced extensive PRUNING this last year, and the Lord wants to encourage you that He prunes both the fruitless branches AND the fruitful branches, that they may bear more fruit and so prove that they are His.

I also had the impression that there is going to be a big shift for a lot of people beginning in May – I saw the distress signal “Mayday” turning into “Heyday” (a period of success or vigor) and I saw a picture of a wind blowing across the US from east to west; as it moved it turned over thousands of leaves, which I think represent new pages and new beginnings for many of His people.

Prayer thoughts from Kathleen, for you:

As I prayed for you, the idea that God is a REWARDER of those who seek Him, keep bursting through. There is a reward connected to your asking, seeking, knocking. Don’t grow faint! A reward awaits at the end of your perseverance. Then one day when I was praying for you, I saw the eyes of the Lord LOOKING with intense care and support and I remembered this verse: “For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” (2 Ch.16:9)

And then as I was doing my bible reading, this passage jumped out for you: “Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O LORD, you preserve both man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast in the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.” (Ps. 36:5-10)

Throughout the days of prayer for you, I felt the Lord’s assurance that you will see His faithful care and that you will stand and tell others what the Lord has done for you.
