Are YOU Ready to Burn?

“One praying man stands as a majority with God!” -Leonard Ravenhill

As America rumbles towards elections, we continue to dedicate this month to Leonard Ravenhill. Leonard laid down his life in prayer for revival in the U.S. Even if you aren’t from America, keep reading because this is for you too. Today I want to point your attention to another powerful message Leonard carried, titled, “Where Are the Elijahs of God.”

Last Days Ministries turned Ravenhill’s sermon into an article. I’ve pulled out two quotes from that article to bless you and build you up today:

“One praying man stands as a majority with God! Today God is bypassing men – not because they are too ignorant, but because they are too self-sufficient. Brethren, our abilities are our handicaps, and our talents our stumbling blocks!”

“Ah! Brother preachers, we love the old saints, missionaries, martyrs, reformers: our Luthers, Bunyans, Wesleys, Asburys, etc. We will write their biographies, reverence their memories, frame their epitaphs, and build their monuments. We will do anything except imitate them. We cherish the last drop of their blood, but watch carefully the first drop of our own!”

If the Lord’s called YOU to be a voice, take a stand, say your piece, raise your hand ~ C’mon!

Let’s pray.
In His love and mine,

Kathleen Dillard

I asked Pastor Oscar Richardson to write a prayer of repentance for us. He said, “I thought about your request and felt the Lord directed me to the prayer of King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chron. 20.” Here is the prayer Pastor Oscar wrote for us:

Father, we are humbled and grateful for the incredible blessings and prosperity you have bestowed on our nation. Through many years and sometimes difficult seasons your hand of favor has been open to us and we have enjoyed the benefits of your protection and provision. Of all the nations of history, America is a unique and amazing story.

But, our memories have been dulled and we have neglected and forgotten the One who was the source of our blessings and endurance. We repent and ask Father that you would move by your Spirit over our nation once again and turn the hearts of your people back to you. That you would remind us of our responsibilities as a nation and lead us to repair the breaches and restore our foundations. As King Jehoshaphat prayed, “we do not know what to do but our eyes are upon you!”
As your people we cry out to you, O, God!
