Americans Don’t Read Their Bibles Anymore

unnamed-2

Take time to JUMP into God’s Word

Hello!
I wanted to ask you a question. I was in a meeting recently and someone said,

“Americans don’t read their bibles anymore.”

To be honest, I didn’t believe it. I challenged the group until they concluded that people just don’t have the time.

Speaking of time, did you know that the average use of electronic media in America is 11+ hours a day per person?

Of course some of the time we are driving, doing chores, or perhaps sneaking over to Facebook during work hours. In other words we are doing other things while we’re also doing electronic media, right?

But I reckon we DO have time to read our bibles, even if it’s through using an audio version as a part of our 11-hour electronic day.

And think about this – while you’re listening to music, newscasts, talk shows etc. you’re also having your view points, world views, and opinions affected and shaped. All of this is happening while you are barely paying attention.

Get in God’s Word.

While you’re ingesting an ocean of input from electronic media, let’s be intentional to secure the anchor of God’s word in the midst of it all.
