I pray that you will bless each person in the Troops and in other settings, and draw them to you. Help each one to be encouraged in you…fill them Lord with your spirit and love and encouragement. You have said in Isaiah 55:11 that your word would not return to you void, but it would accomplish what you pleased and it would prosper in the thing for which you sent it. I pray, Lord, for your word and your praise to be heard in Afghanistan today. I pray that your word would be there to encourage and to bring forth your glory.

Father, it has always been hard to do what is right – how much more so when separated from family and friends! Father, You have promised never to leave those who seek Your face, obey You, and call upon Your name, so I ask that You will speak to the hearts and minds of each of our troops, sailors, Marines and air men/women today so that they will come to a realization that they need You.

As they face dangers and decisions that require Your wisdom, show them their limitations and Your omnipotence in ways that will astonish them and demonstrate Your love and provision. Help them to bow down in awe before You as they see Your sovereign hand of protection at work around them, and may they have the courage and humility to acknowledge and praise Your Name before their peers. May they come to know that Your strength and protection are most apparent when we submit to You.

Thank You almighty Lord for desiring what is best for us. Thank You that You offer Yourself as our tower of refuge and strength – may these truths become real for our men and women overseas as You grant them hope, courage, protection and perseverance. Give them sound minds -renewed by You – that can withstand the stress of war so that there will be no mental or emotional breakdowns which will cause harm or regret down the road. Remember that our world is upside-down without You, and as fallen creatures, we need Your guidance to help us navigate the circumstances we face until Your return.

    Blessed be Your Holy Name!

Father, I pray that You may bless all of our Troops today. Be their guard when they try to get rest and be their protection when they are out on patrol. Surround them with Your love, Lord, and tend to their most important needs as You know what they are. Father, I ask You for Your guidance for the leaders of our Troops in every decision that they have to make. May they remember to seek Your counsel, Lord, and may their hearts be open to receive Your answers. In Jesus’ name, bless our Troops!

    King Jesus,
Please be with the troops as they fulfill their duties and missions. Be with both your leaders and their men and women. Keep them focused on both their earthly and Heavenly missions and do not let them get sidetracked. Let them always remember first who you have called them to be and second what you have called them to do. Lord, please be the strength of their heart and the strength of their hands. Holy Spirit, cover them in your everlasting grace, peace, faith, hope, and love. Give them the grace to praise you in the best and worst of circumstances and to trust you in all things. Your will is perfect and we trust you for protection in every way. God, protect their bodies from harm, protect their spirits from the enemy’s attacks, protect their minds from any lies and deceptions from the enemy or his workers, and protect their hearts from any negative influence. Lord, you tell us to keep our hearts with all vigilance, for from it flows the springs of life. The heart is their life and I pray that you keep it and protect it with your own strength and vigilance. Let them always find their hope and truth in you. Please keep their minds, hearts, and hands steady in all things. And more than anything, bring them home safely. In your precious name I pray, Amen.

    Daddy-God,

Jesus is the name that is above all names. You are Lord forever and there is no one who can challenge Your authority and power and win. You rule for ever and ever, and there is no end to Your Kingdom.

I pray for The Troops (both our military and Your sons and daughters of the faith) and I ask that you would deliver them from the oppression of the enemy (both foreign and domestic). Cause Your angels Lord to encamp around them and keep them from the evil one.

I agree with Your Word Lord, that no weapon, scheme or plan formed against The Troops(both our military and Your sons and daughters of the faith)will prosper. Lord You have promised to protect and preserve their lives and to not surrender them to the desire of their foes (both foreign and domestic). I stand with You Lord against the accusations, and schemes that confront them all today, and apply the provision that Jesus has made for their freedom.

Surround The Troops(both our military and Your sons and daughters of the faith) Lord with Your presence, and cause their hearts (to be turned toward you and to recognize and acknowledge your actions on their behalf) and to rejoice in Your presence and nearness. This includes my three Marines and those other Marines you’ve brought to me to mother. Thank you, Lord.

In Jesus name, Amen, so be it!

Father, today I pray for Neel, recently deployed to Afghanistan. I don’t know him personally, but his wife is my dentist. I pray for her as well, and her two young children. I thank you Lord for Neel’s service to his country. Please protect him. Give him wisdom and courage to do the job he was sent to do. His wife is pleased that he’s able to communicate with his family online and sometimes by phone. I ask you to surround his wife and two children with your love. The three-year-old is having a hard time dealing with the absence of his father and worries that maybe his mother will suddenly leave, too. Please give him your special peace. The younger child isn’t old enough to know what has happened. Thank you for their loving mother and give them special care until Neel comes safely home to them. I thank you, Father that you sent your beloved Son, Jesus to pay the price for our sins on the cross -for each and every one of us – and then raised him from the dead on Easter Sunday. Be with us all forever, Amen
