“But Thou, O Lord art a shield about me; my glory and the lifter up of my head.” Psalm 3:3 All of Your people can claim these words from the Warrior King, David. And, may those for whom we pray that do not know You receive the same protection, Lord, at Camp Leatherneck. Be glorified in all that they do and say today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Father, I lift up these soldiers before you and ask for devine protection for them. Especially, at this time of year, when we celebrate together with family and friends, the birth of Your Son and our LORD I want to ask these men be blessed. Thank you for the gift of life and the gift of life eternal that is ours through the shed blood of Jesus. Lord, by faith, we believe and receive eternal life from you. Please help these men and their families to focus on You and encourage them as they seek You. Be their strength and their joy. Lord, bring victory and peace in this troubled area. Dear Jesus, Please reveal Your love & power to all of our troops everywhere, including stateside military places. They all need Your help in different ways. Father God, we know You are all knowing, all powerful, & You know and love them all. Save them from all harm & evil. Bring peace to their hearts & minds, & healing to the bodies.

Father God, we pray for a unity among our country’s political & military leaders. Please give them Your wisdom & help to come to agreement on Your terms that would be best for our troops, our nation, & innocent people who would not be terrorists. I pray Lord these things can be done without fighting & violence. Let no weapon formed against us & our troops be successful. Turn the terrorists weapons upon themselves. Cause confusion in their camp that will diminish their violence to nothing.

Thank you Jesus for coming into our lives. Help us to speak the truth in love this Christmas season especially. In your Holy & wonderful name I pray

Lord, help each of these men and women to recognize the worth of one another and wherever there is one who might be struggling with issues at home, feeling like an outcast, fearful of what might face them today..whatever may be a problem, let another come alongside as a “brother” to help and comfort that person. And I pray today for the salvation of every person serving at Kunduz. Your Word promises your mercies are new to them this day. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
