Father,
May your Light shine in the hearts and minds of the people of Afganistan revealing your truth. Protect those who believe and love you. Hear the cry of their hearts.Bless our troops as they interact with these people. May our troops be to them a witness of a better way. Father please make a way where there seems to be no way. Lord, I bring to You the soldiers serving in Afghanistan and I ask for the Blood of Jesus to cover them to protect them from the traps of the insurgents and Al Quida. Father keep our soldiers safe today. Let all bullets fired towards fall to the ground. All bombs set to trap, malfunction. Let the traps of the enemies be closed down. May strongholds of evil and of darkness crumble and be destroyed. Please guide every step of the troops who serve a people not their own in order to make the world a safer place. Please let the troops have success in putting down those who are on the side of the man and his followers who cause terror in Afghanistan and in other nations of the world. I call out for the sake of the oppressed in that nation and in other nations that You would allow them to first find freedom through Jesus and then to know freedom as best the world has to offer which of course is never that perfect freedom that is known through Jesus. I pray with my brothers and sisters in Christ at this site which You have divinely blessed as a resource for prayer and inspiration. You are such a wonderful Abba Who is able to do more than we can think or imagine. Cause them to hunger and thirst for you the only true and living God. Let your word fall like drain in that dry and barren land. Touch the hearts of the people to receive your word with gladness. Saturate their hearts and minds with your peace. We ask for special protection of our troops who are fighting for freedom justice and peace. Be a shield round about them.
