Father, thank you that you alone are God and you alone set captives free whether they are the troops in harms way or the people in Afghanistan. Thank you that you have said that your Word goes forth and bears fruit and “everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”(Romans 15:4) Father, pour your words through your Spirit into our hearts and minds throughout the day as we go about our work so that we are in constant intercession and agreement for what you purpose to accomplish today in Afghanistan. I agree that you pour out wisdom upon our leaders, that they will call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2: 1-15)
Father God, there is no limit to your power or love. I am in awe over You.
Everyday You display this power and love. I ask that You would be especially mindful of our military and the good people of Afghanistan. Provide escapes from death and injury. Reveal Your amazing love to those that don’t know you. May all be amazed by Your love, hand of protection and victory over evil.
In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Father We come before you with humility and thankfullness, thankyou for who you are. thankyou for god, the great I am. Bless your people today, let us proclaim the good news today. In Jesus Name
Father I thank you today that you are our very present help in times of need and trouble you give us discernment to know where evil lies you send your angels round and about us to interrupt the cycles of evil in the earth thank you Lord for interceding for our troops and the people of Afghanistan, we agree with you Lord that you created them for a purpose and we thank you that their destiny shall be fulfilled in Jesus name Amen.
O Lord we thank you for giving us the privilege of prayer, that we can call on you daily as we pour our hearts out to you. We know you hear and you answer. Please Lord bring protection to our men and women in harm’s way in Afghanistan. Please protect the innocents a well as those who are the protectors. O Lord draw our leaders to you. If there are those who do not know you, draw them. Show our leaders that they need divine wisdom to handle this war. Raise up prayer warriors in our country to lift up the needs of our nation Please keep you Hand on America and gently guide us. We thank you for drawing us all to you….Keep us in the palm of your Hand and use us to bring peace to those around us. We love you Lord and I thank you that You are the one who can thwart the plans of the evil ones. Let them fall by their own wicked devices. We give these requests with thanksgiving. Amen
Thank you Jesus for sparing my husband a few days ago. Thank you for time schedules changed that removed him from a location where a mortar landed 15 ft from where he would have been. Jesus, it’s not coincidence, but your Divine hand that spared him, and we thank you for answering the prayers of God’s people on his behalf. We lift up the wounded, Father, they need your deliverance and hand of mercy at this time. This we pray to the One who has all authority and power. Amen.
You are the God of the IMPOSSIBLE!!! We ask that you do impossible things in the name of Christ Jesus, Our Lord. Protect and shield the soldiers in Afghanistan and make your presence known among them.
Father, Today give victory to our troops and those from other countries who are helping the Afghans overcome the enemy. Protect all our soldiers and those supporting them. Give them wisdom and discernment as they engage the enemy. And I ask that You send confusion into the enemy camps and cause all their plans to go awry.
And, LORD, draw those close to You who rely on You for all their strength and wisdom. Let them feel the comfort of Your strong hands and the compassion of Your heart. In Jesus’ name. Amen
I cry out to You in the words You best understand, those from the Bible. I cry out to You on behalf of the troops in Afghanistan: “Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me. For my soul takes refuge in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge until destruction passes by. I will cry to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for me. He will send from heaven and save me; He reproaches him who tramples upon me. Selah. God will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth.” (Psalm 57:1-3) Lord, only You can save the lives of our troops. Please, I pray You will be immediate refuge for any who are under threat from the enemy. You know the tactics and weapons of the enemy and You know who is in danger. Please may there be a complete breakdown and division of the enemy forces so they are no longer a threat to our troops and allies. You once split the Red Sea so it lost its power to swallow up the Israelites. Please use that same power to split the enemy forces that are trying to overcome our troops. You have the means. You can make a way. Please, Father God, Abba be blatant in showing Your strength this day. May You be greatly praised for the splitting up of the enemy forces. Let them know not what has hit them, only that they are no longer having any strength to fight for their cord is broken. What an awesome and able God You are in creation and in sustaining Your creation. I love You Abba for You are my Heavenly Father and You are so much more! Your power works out Your divine will throughout the universe. Nothing stops You when You decide to act. All glory to You! I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen
Dear Lord: Let God arise and His enemies be scattered! Lord, please strike fear into each enemie’s hearts. Let them be rerouted onto a desolate place, let them be as chaff before the wind! Cause their hearts to melt and subdue them as they rise up to kill and destroy. May they not live out half their days. May they tremble and flee before Jehovah God who rises to protect and defend His Holy ones. May the US Soldiers see the salvation of the Lord their Maker and let their hearts be filled with joy and gladness. Let them sing before the Lord a new song and may they believe on the God who saves them! In Jesus Name I pray, amen.
Father, Give wisdom and discernment to all who are making decisions in Afghanistan today regarding the war on terror in that country. Encourage all who are in positions of authority to do what it right. Protect them from being influenced by self-seeking or deceitful persons. Let them see clearly what the issues are and what the goals are. Help them understand all the factors. Give them clear minds and sound bodies as they make decisions. And bless all who are truly seeking peace and prosperity for the Afghan people. In Jesus’ name. amen
Dear Father in Heaven, please give great wisdom to the commanders of the forces, and to the political leaders who are making important decisions regarding Afghanistan at this time. Please raise up powerful prayer warriors who know how to take hold of Your promises in faith, who have a heart to wage war against the powers of darkness that have held Afghanistan in their grip for far too long, and who have the strength of resolve to persist in prayer until we have seen You accomplish Your purposes for that nation. Please give comfort and encouragement to soldiers who are struggling. Despair among the troops is very grave, for it can be a powerful tool in the enemy’s arsenal. Please help the troops to not give way to it. May something come to each one’s thoughts or experience today that helps them to remember why they enlisted, and to understand how they can work side by side with others to make this world a better place. May there also be encouragements from home, Dear Father, and even a recognition that they are being held up in prayer on this website and in countless other places. I truly believe for a turning of the tide in Afghanistan, for a gradual arising, as it were, of the light that brings freedom, righteousness and peace to a nation. (If it is of any encouragement to anyone, yesterday I read of a Burmese pastor who settled in an area of Thailand in order to provide a refuge for believers fleeing the fighting in Burma. When he arrived at the village where he settled it was in the depths of degradation in the opium trade, as part of the “golden triangle.” Today, only a few short years later, there is no trace of the drug trade or corruption, and people have learned new farming methods and trades in order to provide for their families. It seems that all it took was for this one believing pastor to go where God was leading him and serve God there. As it happened in Thailand, so it can happen in Afghanistan.) Heavenly Father, please lift the eyes of the despairing ones and help them to see how great are the possibilities of all that they can do if God is with them. Thank You Lord Jesus! In Your Precious and Lovely Name I pray. Amen.
Dear Lord: The news says that our precious US Soldiers are deeply in dispair and the morale is very low. Lord, please send relief, please send hope and purpose and a sense of destiny for them, each Soldier. Make them see the possibilities of their service FOR THE GOOD.
I suppose the only way it would appear that would be the case, would be that they have a chance to get saved and serve one another. They can pick up their fellow Soldiers and give them the Living Word of God. This is a perfect opportunity for that. We receive a crown from Jesus for our service here on earth. We must be about the Master’s business and moral is low and they need a fresh wind, a fresh start, a new hope in their hearts. Only God can do this. Only You Lord can provide all these lovely things. Please send laborers into the field in Afghanistan for the fields are white for harvest. Send those that will go for you Lord. In Jesus Name we pray, amen.
Holy God, remembering those you sent over the years to bring the good news of Christ to the country of Afghanistan, we are thankful that there is a remnant of the generations who came to know You through their love and work. There is a foundation for the Gospel and we pray for those who still name the Name of Jesus because of these men and women, those who were faithful to their call and built schools and hospitals where your mercy and love were given. Encourage this generation of believers. Give them encouragement and safety to live out their faith in word and deed. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in these times, in this place. Amen
Hebrews 10:15-25
The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
“This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.” Then he adds:
“Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more.”
And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin. Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Father, I lift up your children in Afghanistan and ask that they would hold firm to their assurance of salvation and the hope they profess. You are faithful. Help them to encourage one another. Provide fellowship in safety. Remind them of your promised return, and make them bold to share the good news of salvation. May they fear the one who can kill both body and soul.
Father we agree with you, for the plans you have for the nation and people of Afghanistan. Father you created all things with purpose, and we ask in Jesus name that the plans that you have for this people and nation would come forth now in Jesus name. Lord your Blood shed on the cross purchased freedom for all people and nations. Thank you for uprooting corruption and darkness let your righteousness and your light come now in Jesus name Amen.
“I am pressed but not crushed, persecuted not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed. I am blessed beyond the curse for His promise shall endure, and His Joy is going to be my strength. Though the sorrow may last for the night, His joy comes with the Morning! I’m trading my sorrows!” This song runs thru my soul and mind over and over as I pray about Afghanistan Lord. You are so BIG and so MIGHTY that even Afghanistan and its problems are just little glitches for Your Strong hand to deal with. Abba, care for the little ones in Afghanistan, little in stature, little in strength, little in mental capacity, little in any aspect, they are Your Children. They are the hope of the world and they are Yours. Shine a light thru our Christian soldiers and workers in Afghanistan, a light that draws and brightens. We praise Your Almighty Name. We pray the Trinity’s all encompassing blanket over Afghanistan. Amen
Father I thank you for restoring Afghanistan to it’s purpose that you have planned for their nation’s existence. We Glorify your name as we watch what you will do in this nation and for it’s people. thank you for allowing us to be a part of your plan.
Father, Thank You for caring about the people in Afghanistan. Thank You for all the souls that You have saved in that country. LORD, we want to work with You in spreading the good news of Jesus throughout the whole world and we know that You have called us to pray for You to work in the lives of the Afghan people. LORD, Your plans are much better than ours so I ask that Your plans be carried out. Send the Holy Spirit to the people living in darkness and shine Your light on them. Let them sing, “Arise, shine, for our light has come.” And let them rise up and bless Your name and worship You. Amen.
God bless YOU! Now MORE THAN EVER we need to press into prayer for Afghanistan. The last 2 months have reported the worst death toll for troops. There’s simply a BIG BATTLE going on for this region, would you please do whatever you can do to push the prayer focus for this and recruit folks to jump in with us on this Afghan Prayer Patrol.
