    Heavenly Father,

What beauty You put into this day. Sunshine and brilliant fall leaves, a golden reminder of the beauty awaiting in heaven. You are such a good and awesome God always indicating Your love for us. You gave us eyes to behold such beauty as You put in nature. Thank You for being so thoughtful of what would give delight to Your creation. Lord, You made the people and the land of Afghanistan. You designed it to be a place for people to live and love and be in harmony with one another. But the force of evil is at work in the land opposing all the good You put into it. You see what the evildoers are up to and I ask that You would put a halt to their plots and plans. Please let peace take root and blossom. Please keep all the troops safe for this day and evening. Bless them with gentle guidance into Your word and give them peaceful moments to treasure Your word in their hearts. May Your word always be only a thought away for them; give them instant recall when they are facing trouble or despair. Thank You for blessing them in this way. I pray for victory in Afghanistan against all the terrorist forces that have gotten away with stirring up hatred and violence for too long. Please Lord, establish a lasting peace in Afghanistan if it is Your will. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

Dear Father in Heaven, I truly believe for victory in Afghanistan. I know You are at work, and have been and work there, and I truly believe that You will accomplish what You have purposed for that nation! Heavenly Father, I do not say this lightly, but very guardedly, because I believe You have shown this to me as I prayed and wrestled for that nation privately in prayer over a number of years. And for the first time this week I sense that a great victory has been somehow accomplished in the heavenly realms, concerning Afghanistan and the surrounding nations. May it all be to Your honor and glory, and to the furtherance of Your purposes and intentions for Afghanistan.

You are a great and mighty and compassionate God, but You have no tolerance of wickedness or of evildoing. Help us all to set a guard over our own thoughts, actions and words so that we might be found approved of You, and so that we might truly be able to pray according to Your Word and the counsel of Your Holy Spirit. You are merciful to us, but help us to know that we need to be diligent about the bents in our own nature in order to bring ourselves into conformity with Your will.

Dear Father in Heaven, as I pray for Afghanistan today may I also pray for Your people in the region who have given themselves to Your service, often at great risk to their own safety. May they be able to take as their own and be encouraged by the verse I read only moments ago from the Apostle Paul, when he had already endured many things and was in a very difficult situation: “And…the Lord will deliver me from very evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!” (2 Tim. 4:18). Dear Father in Heaven, may at least one in Afghanistan or its surrounding regions who has need of encouragement come upon this verse somewhere today and be deeply strengthened in his or her inner being. Thank You for Your mercies and for hearing our prayers. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, You are so tender, a gentle Shepard, leading Your flock with love and care. Yet, there is another side to You too. We know that you are both the Lamb of God, who opened not His mouth when He was reviled, and was as a sheep before His shearers, the wicked Sanhendrin accusers during His trial. Yet this very same Lamb, Jesus Christ, infant born of Mary, is also a lion. The Lion of Judah and He will roar over Zion once more. He is The Everlasting God, the Lord of The Hosts, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The Holy One of Israel. Knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. Would we not seek thee early? Would not a people inquire of their God? We must fear Your Lord for You alone hold the keys to Hell and Death. So what does this Mighty and Terrible God require of us that we might please Him and He would have mercy on our American Soldiers and hear and answer our prayers? To do good and walk humbly with our God. Lord, please hear each prayer today. We know it is within Your power, Chronicles, to help or cast down. Please Help. Send Help from the Heavenly Sanctuary. We seek You early, we praise You, we declare that You and You alone are God Almighty. Please send psychological, spiritual and loving help to our US SOldiers in Afghanistan. And it is all to the Glory of our God and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

Lord, I agree with these prayers. I too lift up Bowe. Lord I bring him before your altar and ask for your sacrifice to be laid to his account. May your mercy protect and shield him. Reveal his whereabouts, Lord. Bring release and relief. I agree with Cynthia’s prayers. Please also be with Kim as she prays for her loved one. May you receive glory and praise.

Father, Your Word says Faith without works is dead. Help us to question ourselves today to find what we can do to address the needs of our servicemen and women today. Could we send care packages? Could we send money? Could we write a letter? Could we send books or magazines to the troops? Can we knit scarves or helmet liners? Help us to ask what we can do to show our support for their sacrifices and then follow up with this. Guide us in the way we should go. Contribute to trusted organizations or get the APO address of a friend who has a loved one in the military and send needed items to him/her. We will be good Samaritans, God. We will not pass by and do nothing.
We pray for Your Hand of protection, safety and comfort to be on our troops wherever they are, Lord. We thank You that You hear and answer the prayers of Your people, Amen

Lord, I agree with everyone’s prayer, I also lift up to you Bowe Bergdahl’s release. Lord, wherever he is right now, we ask that you hold his hands. Embrace him Lord, and allow him to feel your presence. Keep him in the hollow of your hand. May the comforting presence of your Holy Spirit, the assuring power of your Word grant him and his family peace in their hearts. Lord stand between him and his captors, put a wall of protection around him and allow his captors to value his life in Jesus Christ most precious Name we ask, Amen!

Yes, LORD, You alone are Lord of all. I lift up this country and all these people and ask that you would destroy the evil power and principalities operating there. Save these people, set them free by Your mighty power. Let them live in peace and love with their fellow man. Lord be lifted up over this nation. Destroy the enemies of your creation I pray and bring healing and wholeness, not only here but all over the world. I ask in the precious name and by the blood shed for forgiveness and salvation for our sins against You. Thank you Jesus for dying for us sinners. Help us to live honoring You. AMEN

LORD of all, Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your lovingkindness that is new every morning! I am reminded of Your word that says that our battle is not with flesh and blood but powers and principalities. When we pray, You work! LORD, send Your ministering angels to work in the lives of the believers in Afghanistan, giving them boldness and wisdom to advance Your kingdom. Open the eyes of their hearts to see You at work and desire to work alongside You. Bless every word and deed of theirs so that the harvest will be plentiful. Give them reason to rejoice and sing and dance in exultation of all Your wondrous deeds. Speak gently to them and confirm Your word through miracles. LORD, I ask for a mighty outpouring of Your Holy Spirit all over Afghanistan so that the world will know that You are God! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

    Heavenly Father,
I thank you for all your many blessings. Though you’re the Almighty God of all the universe, you’re not above listening to us when we pray. You’re powerful, yet loving - hating sin, but sending your son,Jesus to sacrifice himself for our sins.
Today, I ask you to bless and protect our troops in Afghanistan. Thank you for
the sacrifices they’ve made for our country and for their families who wait for them to come home. Please keep them safe, Lord. Comfort them when they’re homesick or scared. When they’re in the midst of battle, may every weapon the enemy uses against them miss the mark. Send your angels to guard them when they go out on dangerous missions.
In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Father I thank you for hearing the prayers of your prayer warriors. Thank you for the plans and purposes that you have for the Afghanistan people. Thank you that you have not lost control, but that you see all aspects of what is happening and they are coming in line with your purpose for this world.

Dear Father, It’s raining heavily here, and your word says, “The earth shook; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary.” -Psalm 68:8-9. Please let the rain of your presence fall on the nation of Afghanistan. Rain down on our troops, shower them with your blessing and protection. Let the weight of your glory fall on each member of our military, whether soldier, mechanic, chaplain, cook–whatever. Let your tangible presence be felt, and let many come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ throughout the land. Raise up your church, Father. Let it be an Acts church, demonstrating signs, wonders, and miracles to accompany the preaching of the Word of God. Glorify your name today, Father. We ask in the name of Jesus. AMEN.

May the people of Afghanistan come to know what a loving and kind God You are. That You are a Father to the Fatherless and You will never leave us nor forsake us. May they realize that You are their great hope and also the anchor of their soul. Even though they live in a troubled area they can have peace in their hearts. Cover them with Your Precious Blood Lord Jesus and bring them to know Your salvation and Peace. In Jesus Name, Amen

God bless YOU! Now MORE THAN EVER we need to press into prayer for Afghanistan. The last 2 months have reported the worst death toll for troops. There’s simply a BIG BATTLE going on for this region, would you please do whatever you can do to push the prayer focus for this and recruit folks to jump in with us on this Afghan Prayer Patrol.

    Remember:

“Prayer is to the Christian what capital is to the business man.” L.Ravenhill

Let’s do some ‘cashing IN’ for God’s will in Afghanistan, shall we?

Thank you for pushing the plow of God’s purposes in Afghanistan forward with your prayers! Our prayers ARE making a difference. You will see His rewards released.
