Lord, Jesus, please hold the military leaders and our fighting men and women in your Hands. Lord, put your shield of protection around them. May they have your insight and wisdom to know how to protect the innocents. Please keep your Hand on America, Lord. Guide our leaders to do the right thing regarding the war and in guiding America in these bad economic times. We thank you we can come to you with our petitions knowing You will do the right thing. In Jesus Name

Father. You are a father to the fatherless, a husband to the widow, and the one who loves us all. Today, protect all the innocent ones in Afghanistan. The children, the orphans, the widows and widowers, the lonely, the outcast - all cry out for someone to love and protect them. And only You can really love and protect. So I ask that You hear their cries today and take care of them. Show them Your love. And draw them close to You. In Jesus’ name. amen

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the ability to pray over the internet for people who live so far from me. Thank You for the ones who live and work in India who make this possible through their efforts. It seems such a miracle that You have made it all to work together and give blessings through technology. I pray in accordance with today’s prayer focus on the needy ones in Afghanistan. There are so many ways in which people can be needy. Sometimes it is lack of financial resources and with others it might be a longing for the God they do not know. Sometimes it can be from lonliness or fear or neglect from those who should be taking care of a person who is unable to care for themselves. O Lord, You know all the situations of the human condition. Please intervene in the life of each one in Afghanistan who has an unmet need. Show them that You are a loving and providing God Whom they can trust. And I pray again for Your continuing protection over all the troops. Please do not let one troop suffer at the hands of the enemy. Please make a way for the enemy forces to get tangled up in their own plans and not be able to go forward to harm anyone else. And always, I do pray that Your will is done in Afghanistan and all over the world. You are our great, sovereign God Who is Holy, Holy, Holy! I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

Loving Heavenly Father, today I am encouraged by signs here and there that You have been hearing our prayers for the poor and the needy ones of Afghanistan and that You are answering them in Your providence, and according to the wisdom of Your good timing. Thank You ever so much for this, and may all praises be to You for Your goodness, and Your kindness to the children of men! Today I have great assurances that You are at work in Afghanistan. Sometimes it does not seem to be so, but You often work in ways we cannot see, until the time is right for Your works to be revealed.

May the small and the needy ones of Afghanistan take courage in You today, Dear Father. May they find safety under the shelter of Your wings, and strength to wait for Your great redemption. Where abuses have taken place, and in past decades these have been so many, and so atrocious, may there be deep healing and tremendous comfort from Your Holy Spirit. Most of all, may these “small ones” learn of You and learn to love You for Who You are. Blessed be Your Holy Name forever and ever. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

Dearest Lord, may this prayer be effective as well for our daughter, Maria, deployed in Kyrgyzstan. Hallelujah !
And thank you Lord, for your nearness to Bowe, as our P.O.W. in Afghanistan looks to you for help. To whom can we go Lord ? You are our present help in time of need. We don’t cry out to people but to our God, who fights for us.
Thank you for proving yourself over and over as our Defender, our High Tower, our safety. We honor you Lord, and respect you.
May the chaplains in the country be men of God, with a testimony that glorifies you. May they be instruments to bring in the sheep who need to know the Truth. In the Name of the One who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, Jesus……Amen

    Heavenly Father,

You are the greatest and nothing can ever separate us from Your love. Thank You for being our loving Abba on Whom we can pour out our concerns and know that You will consider them and see what You can do about them. Today we are gathering together to ask that You would save one soul through the good news of Jesus and how He died on the cross to save them from the wages of sin and how through Him they can have unspeakable joy and life eternal. What a wonderous blessing we are asking that You would bestow upon one beneficial soul in Afghanistan. And to think of the compounding of those benefits upon the people within the influence of that joyous one! The angels will be singing mightily in heaven for what You have done. Please let it happen quickly. I know You want all to be saved and may this one be the catylist for change of many hearts receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Please keep all the troops protected from any harm. May Your angels have guard over them as they come and go. Keep their feet from landing upon any location that is prepared to do violence to them. I pray all the news from the homefront will be loving and encouraging to the troops. May they soon find new reasons to feel the people of our nation appreciate what they are doing so far from home. Do not let one be neglected during the holiday season. May many be supportive of organizations that do things to give comfort and recognition to those who serve. May our prayers be a great support as they flow into to Your realm and seek to sway Your best blessings to be released in Afghanistan. I pray through Jesus, Amen

Father, Reveal Yourself to one of our soldiers in Afghanistan today. Let the words he has heard suddenly come to life. Let Your truth ring in his head and his heart. And let the Holy Spirit convict him of Your love and forgiveness.

I ask ask that You visit an Afghan person today with the good news of Your kingdom. I know that You have believers all over the world who are ready to give testimony of Your work in their lives and this is what I ask for in Afghanistan. May this word be shared among friends or family to someone who has been wondering and seeking truth and righteousness. And may Your peace that passes all understanding be a convincing factor.

    In Jesus’ name. Amen

“May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward for His suffering in my life.” Missionary Eric Larson

Father, may Your Son Jesus, the Lamb that was slain receive the reward for His suffering in changed lives today. May He receive souls born into the Kingdom of God from Afghanistan today.

Your Word confirms that, “But when His soul has been made an offering for sin, then He shall have a multitude of children, many heirs. He shall live again and God’s program shall prosper in His hands. And when He sees all that is accomplished by the anguish of His soul, He shall be satisfied; and because of what He has experienced, my righteous Servant shall make many to be counted righteous before God, for He shall bear all their sins.” Isaiah 53:10-11 TLB.

Father recall again, as always, what Your Son has done for the whole world, and have mercy upon those in Afghanistan who need to know You. Reveal to them Who Your Son is, their Savior, and may many souls be born into Your family today. In Jesus faithful name, amen.

Father I join with this prayer requesting you turn one person to who you really are today. May they sense your closeness and the wooing of the Holy Spirit. Fill their hearts with a yearning that is for a higher calling.

Save one of our soldiers for your kingdom and provide protection for their units.

Father, we pray salvation and forgiveness for those who don’t know You. Reveal Yourself to them, give them eyes and hearts of revelation. Give them the courage and strength to overcome the evil that has pervaded their minds and land for so long. Father, we pray miracles of protection for our armed forces stationed in these dangerous places. Father, strengthen our brave young men and women, guide their every step, protect them physically, mentally and spiritually. We pray our leaders will make the right decisions concerning our military; decisions that will save lives and promote freedom. We look to You, Lord, You alone have the answers we need so deperately. We pray for the peace of Jerusalmen. We pray for world peace in Jesus’ Name, Amen

Father I pray along with Carole’s prayer. There are so many issues to pray about. May each of our prayers be a sword against the forces of evil. Like David’s one stone that hit Goliath, I pray that our prayers would hit the targets of evil. I pray also that You would reveal Jesus to many so that in the difficult circumstances these people live in they might have a inner peace that surpasses understanding and a joy that no man can take away. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Lord, I pray today for wisdom - wisdom for our leaders, including the president and those in leadership of the troops in Afghanisan. There are more issues playing into decisions than we can know, but YOU know them all, and can give discernment and understanding to all who seek You. I pray that the President will realize the urgency of his decision, and that the military leaders will be wise in using the resources - human and otherwise - to combat the evil forces intent on destroying that land. Open the minds of the poppy farmers, Lord, and touch their heart with the conviction of the lives that are being destroyed by the use of this product. Give them awareness of the value of human life - life that you created and have a purpose for - and grant them mercy to know the Creator of that life. Give them alternative crops so they can provide for their families without destroying others. I thank you, LORD, that to pursue you is the beginning of wisdom. That’s our prayer today - for wisdom. In Jesus’ precious name.

Stir up in the people a longing for peace of spirit, and hope, for the blessing of “brothers living together in unity”. May the longing open up hearts to seek You, the never-known Prince of Peace. And “arise oh LORD and let your enemies be scattered”, all those who work against peace and hope and purposeful, merciful unity by scattered and rendered powerless. Open the heavens and send your Holy Spirit to reveal to their hearts the Prince of Peace, and hope and mercy.

Father, Bless all those in Afghanistan who hunger and thirst after righteousness. Give them wisdom and discernment to make all their decisions pleasing to You. Even those who do not know You, LORD, regard their hearts as they seek to do what is right for their country.

Visit the citizens in their dreams and in visions to tell them of Jesus! LORD, I ask for heavenly visitations to the young who would be discouraged by violence and corruption. I ask that the older, wiser ones hear the good news of Your Son Jesus and Your word that brings peace and life. And for the mothers and fathers who are concerned about their children - bring them the good news of Your salvation. LORD, I have heard of the marvelous things Your Spirit is doing among the Muslims and I ask that You continue this good work and bring glory to Yourself.

    In Jesus’ name. Amen

God bless YOU! Now MORE THAN EVER we need to press into prayer for Afghanistan. The last 2 months have reported the worst death toll for troops. There’s simply a BIG BATTLE going on for this region, would you please do whatever you can do to push the prayer focus for this and recruit folks to jump in with us on this Afghan Prayer Patrol.

    Remember:

Let’s do some ‘cashing IN’ for God’s will in Afghanistan, shall we?
