Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you that you are the creator of all good things. You have given man the choice to serve and love you or to ignore you. Please help the leaders in Afghanistan hear and see of of your goodness, mercy, love, compassion forgiveness, grace and power. Help them know You as their Heavenly Father and your son Jesus as their Lord.. Help them have dreams and visions of Jesus and fall in love with Him. Help them to seek after Him until they find Him. When they make Jesus their Lord they will be guided to do honorable and good things for their country and for themselves. We ask this in the Holy name of Your dear Son Jesus.
I come to You agreeing with Wayne and with the others who have already posted prayers for this date. Thank You that the dedicated come often to this site to lift up the leaders, troops and people of Afghanistan. I pray that the consistent offerings of prayer are meaningful to You and that Your favor will be our blessing as we hear better news reports coming from out of that area of the world. Always we do pray that Your will would be done for You always know the whole picture and have a plan for ultimate good. Thankfully You have given us the end of the story where You are finally victorious for eternity. I pray any who are discouraged by the war will turn to Your word and find comfort there. May they find Your joy and peace that passes understanding and is greater than we can think or imagine. Only You can generate positive feelings when everything surrounding a situation would point to despair and falling into the pit of depression. Thank You for lifting up those who have fallen down and thank You for the benefit of Christian companionship to serve those who are needy. I pray for increasing integrity and decreasing corruption in Afghanistan. May the leaders set the pace and the others keep step in their new walk toward doing what is right. Thank You for the privilege of coming again to You in prayer. You are most loving in Your concern for all of us here on earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen
Dear Father in Heaven, You have continued today to use others to remind me that You are sovereign over all, and that all things are in Your hand. I humbly thank You for emphasizing and underlining these truths for me this weekend. I pray earnestly that Your will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Heavenly Father, in praying for the leaders of Afghanistan I’m reminded that yesterday’s news was about the opposition leader calling for a boycot of the upcoming runoff election for fear that the same vote-rigging that marred the first election might be repeated. I was a little disturbed to hear that the U.S. state department is dismissing this leader’s concerns with a wave of the hand, as it were. It concerns me that the protest of this insider, who has nothing to lose and much to gain by participating in this runoff, would not be taken seriously. Heavenly Father, You have graciously granted us in North American to live in prosperity and peace. Please let us be mindful of the decisions and influences of our political leaders in regard to other nations where oppression and corruptions run at levels we can’t even imagine in our naivety, lest we be condemned in Your eyes for not having held our own leaders accoutable. Also, Dear Father, I have been very concerned that corruption in the government of Afghanistan might be hindering the effectiveness of the war effort to bring about peace for the people of Afghanistan, and perhaps compromizing the safety of our forces on the ground. Dear Father, we need to be in prayer about these matters, and perhaps we also need to be speaking out to our government leaders regarding what level of corruption and oppression they are willing to tolerate in the governments of the nations they support.
I’m also thinking, Father, that the idea of integrity, compassion and respect for those they serve might be new concepts for some of these leaders in Afghanistan. Dear Heavenly Father, I believe the people of Afghanistan have suffered for such a long time. I pray that would turn things around to bring about lasting solutions for that nation to bring an end to to all forms of oppression, violence and corruption. Let us remember what was revealed to the great emperor, Nebuchadnezzar, “That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men” (Daniel 4:17). In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.
Abba Father, you are the Potter we are the clay. We thank you that you do all things well and you are shaping and moulding us for your glory. May we reflect your your glory more and more.
Father, uprightness and integrity protect those who hope in you. Restore the hope of the leaders in Afghanistan. By your Spirit cause them to cry out to the One True God. We pray for signs and wonders and dreams and visions to be poured out upon them. Raise up many like Cyrus of old to govern for you for your Name’s sake in Jesus Name. Amen
Father, You know all hearts. Your Son did not commit or trust Himself to people on earth because He knew all about them. He knew what was in man - the changeable nature of humans. (John 2:24-25) You know all about the leaders in Afghanistan.
I agree with Wayne’s prayer, and ask that You would apply it to President Karzai, presidential candidate Abdullah, General Petraeus, and General McChrystal, Major General Scaporrotti, Major General Flynn, and Colonel Flynn - those whose names I know in leadership in Afgahnistan. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in their lives today and always. In the name of the Leader of all, King Jesus, I pray.
Dear Lord: We know that no matter what it looks like on the surface, that for the man of integrity, Your Holy Spirit is working Romans 8:28: “For ALL things work to the good for those who love God and are called according to His Purpose.” KJV Your Word says that integrity guards that man wherever he goes. Lord cause righteous men to rise to places of influence so they can be a good mentor for those men that are under them. Cause good to prevail and evil to perish in the way. Cause shouts of Joy and Victory to be heard in the tents of the righteous. Cause the violent men who are bent on evil intentions to become the target of the righteous US Warriors and let these evil men not escape. Protect our US Soldiers from all harm and danger and bring them home safe and whole. Please hear our prayers today because we pray in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
Jesus, I stand against all evil in this country, and you know more than we do what are the plans of the enemy - make them know to our great men and bring about a dramatic turn of events in this country. In Jesus’ Name
I life up the the people of Afghanistan. Calm their fears and protect them this day from violence. I pray for the plans of the violent to be thwarted and the protectors of the people to be wise and alert. Bring confusion tot he ranks of the violent that they may flee and be disorganized.
Be with the military of the country and bring peace and calm to the country during the upcoming elections. Protect those who vote. Thwart the plans of the violent who would disrupt these elections. Bring the people forward to chose a wise leader for their country.
Father, What an awesome God You are! Thank You for Your perfect plan for our lives and for the nations. Thank You that You sent Your Son to make atonement for all our sins.
Today, LORD, I ask that You work among the people in Afghanistan to bring them to a saving knowledge of Your Son Jesus. Send Your Holy Spirit to give them dreams and visions revealing Jesus and Your kingdom. They can only be free and peaceful if they know the Prince of Peace. Change their hearts, O LORD. Open their eyes to see and their ears to hear Your good news. And may You receive all the glory and honor, Amen
Dear Father in Heaven, I rejoice in what You have shown me today, four times through reading Your Word, and now five, because it is also in the intro to today’s prayer sample, that You are Sovereign over all. Therefore we need not fear. In Psalm 91:1 You are Most High God, and the needy person can find shelter by drawing near to You, in secret. This puts every threat into perspective: You are over it. In Psalm 46 You are unmoveable and sure, even when all is in trouble around us, and You remain sovereign over the turmoils and troubles of this world. In Psalm 147 You are sovereign over creation, and You build the home of Your people. In Revelation 1 You are sovereign over life and death. Thank You for the flood of these assurances You have brought to me today.
Dear Heavenly Father, I agree in prayer that You would bless the efforts of the troops in Afghanistan in relation to the people of that nation. I know efforts have been made dilligently to win trust, and I have heard that the roots of suspicion and distrust have run deep among the Afghan people. I have also noticed how much the enemy has focused on the propaganda war to cause mistrust of the troops and the intentions of the forces, even by distorting and publicizing every unintended and unfortunate casualty that has resulted from this war. Dear Father in Heaven, will You so kindly give the people of Afghanistan a greater discernment to see who is for them, and who it really is that would like to oppress and to control them. I pray that strongholds of lies and misinformation would be destroyed, that every effort to build a foundation for peace would be effective and would be acknowledged for what it really is, and that ultimately the people of Afghanistan might be set free from their oppressors. Please also give tremendous wisdom and insight to the commanders of the forces, and also to the individual troopers to recognize the cultural differences and to be able to discern the best way to win the trust of the people. Thank You that we can be assured that You will go before the people of integrity and good will, and You are willing to establish the cause of the just. May Your will be done in Afghanistan today and in the coming days, and may no effort that has been sincerely made on behalf of the Afghan people be lost or wasted. As You do this, Dear Father, will You also encourage the troops to know that their efforts count for much, and nothing is wasted. Thank You Lord. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.
Heavenly Father, I come today in humbliness before your throne of grace. Forgive me for not praying more often for our soldiers who are fighting in Afghanistan. LORD, I offer up to You the Afghanis and our soldiers before You, and to let them know of Your love, protection, and destiny for all.
LORD GOD! I pray that all the soldiers in Afghanistan and thae Afghanis to realize to live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest for them in the shadow of the Almighty. Help them LORD to declare “He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him. Give them the assurance that YOU will rescue them from every trap and protect them from the fatal plague. SHIELD them Father with Your wings. SHELTER them with Your feathers. Tell them that Your faithful promises are their armor and protection. Especially help them Father NOT TO BE AFRAID of the terrors of the night, nor FEAR the dangers of the day. In the name of Jesus I pray, and ALL GLORY is Yours. Amen
Dearest Heavenly Father Yahweh in Yeshua’s name i pray that you would send your angels to gaurd and keep safe all our USA Troops that are in Afganistan and deliver them from all evil as well as keep the people of Afganistan who wont Peace from all harm also . Amen. Thank you Abba Yahweh for hearing and answering all our prayers. To you be all glory , honor and praise forever and ever Amen.
O Prince of peace, you are the God of peace who will soon crush satan under our feet. Hallelujah You are Yehovah Nissi, the never defeated, never retreating, always victorious One.
Father, thank you for your peace that is being released upon the troops and the people in Afghanistan as we come before your throne of grace. Manifold mercy be upon them from your throne in this times of their need.
O Holy Spirit single out those who have been planted by the enemy and save them or move them out. Grace and peace and favour be upon our troops in Jesus Name. Amen
Father, we mourn today for those fallen soldiers who lost their lives this week and any time before. Father, may they be in the arms of Jesus right now. No greater love has a man than this that he lay down his life for a friend. Father, we pray an effectual fervent prayer in accordance with the others listed here. We pray for the safety and security, physical, mental and spiritual well being, of each and every man and woman in harm’s way. Turn the hearts of the people of Afghanistan against the Taliban to seek Your face, O Lord. Help our leaders to lead, Lord, and to do Your will even if they think it is their own. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen
Yes, Lord, let Your favor rest upon those who are fighting for peace. Send your warrior angels to do battle against the forces of darkness in high places. Cause a breach in the darkness through which your light can penetrate so that the people who have lived so long in the darkness can see the love of Jesus and put their trust in Him.
Father, today I enter Your gates with thanksgiving in my heart and into Your courts with praise for siblings who pray, and for servicemen and women who graciously give to others so that they may be protected.
Your Word says, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Proverbs16:7. I ask You to fulfill Your Word, Your promise, Lord, and make there to be peace for those who are living to please You in Afghanistan. Cause miracles to come forth in relationships between soldiers and civilians as service people seek first the Kingdom of God and Your righteousness. In the name of the Faithful and True Witness, Jesus Christ, amen.
Lord God ALmighty, to your Holy Presence we lift every sing men and woman in uniform serving in Afghanistan. Lord, place your hands over them, protect them from harm, for many who are there wants only destruction and blood spill. Lord, give victory to our soldiers. Go before them in the battle and place fear and horrors in the hearts of the enemies. Go , go with our soldiers into the battle and protect them and give them victory. Lord, give them strengh in their hearts, in their souls, give them peace, even around the turmoil, give them courage and wisdom, give them what you gave to David when he was facing Goliah, give them what you gave to Joshua. Grant them victory. In the Holy name of Jesus I pray. Amen!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Today I asked that you would guide the steps of our leaders, especially President Obama. I ask in your name that you would give clear direction to our President to make his decision based on the needs of our troops. That he would set aside the politics and give General McKristol what was requested. Also, please let the Afghanistan election take place peacefully and that the results would be that of its people. I ask you to thwart any attacks that the Taliban would perpetrate on our soldiers and their people. That the people of Afghanistan would value life, and that they would want peace more than strife, and not be afraid. That the Afghanistan people would rise up and say no more violence, and turn in the bad seeds of the Taliban. Protect our young men and women in uniform and meet their needs physically, mentally, and spiritually. In Jesus Name, Amen
Dear Father in Heaven, may I reach out to You now and ask for Your help for Afghanistan. May there be a marked difference made today, Dear Father, by those who are serving in that nation in hope of releasing its people from corruption and oppression. Please watch over the safety of each one of the peacekeepers, and of each citizen who longs for something better than the conditions they have been forced to live in. May there be decisive victories over evil in any form in which it manifests in Afghanistan, and deep encouragement for those who are serving there. I pray for victory today, Dear Father in Heaven, and for Your will to be done in Afghanistan, for I am certain You have never intended for any of Your creation to be subject to terror and oppression. Thank You for hearing our prayers. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.
God bless YOU! Now MORE THAN EVER we need to press into prayer for Afghanistan. The last 2 months have reported the worst death toll for troops. There’s simply a BIG BATTLE going on for this region, would you please do whatever you can do to push the prayer focus for this and recruit folks to jump in with us on this Afghan Prayer Patrol.
