Thank You Father for Your love and grace. We long for Your presence and hope only to please You. Father I pray for You to cover this region with Your presence that is so needed. Yes, Lord, I agree with all the prayers posted here. Father God, You are the Father of light and nothing is hidden from you. Shed your light into the paths of those who are planning revenge. Expose their plans and turn their hearts to you as you allow your light to shine upon them. Remove their stony hearts and grant them a heart of flesh. Take away their anger, their bitterness and grant them humility and peace. Let them walk along the path of light as you take them out of darkness. Dear Father, our president will be making his decision on Friday on how best to fight this war on terror. This war is so complex and only You know how best to keep our soldiers protected, keep our country safe and make a better way for the people of Afghanistan and Iraq. We know this is a spiritual war but still we are called to help our fellow man in this earthly realm. Bless our soldiers efforts Dear Lord. Father, there has been so much violence and deaths this week in Afganistan, it saddens my heart as I know it must Yours. I ask protection for the men in service, set your warrior angels round about their camps and do not let the enemy penetrate their defenses to cause harm and murder. Lord you are the Victor over this war and You always lead us in triumph, and we claim peace and safety for those fighting the enemy. Confuse the enemy and dull his eyes so that he cannot see to cause harm. Bless all the soldiers that are serving their country and bring them back home. In Jesus name.

Dear Father in Heaven, I am so much in agreement with today’s prayer sample! We know that evil likes to work in secret, and in the dark. I pray that You will remove and destroy the secret and hidden places in Afghanistan in which evil has been able to flourish. I pray that citizens of Afghanistan will themselves recognize the temptations and enticements to evil and draw away from them, supporting one another in resolve to see their nation come out of decades of war, sorrow and oppression and into a position in which they can take hold of the good things You would be willing to provide. I’m pretty sure that one of the present tactics of the enemies of peace in Afghanistan is to spread propaganda and rumours. I pray that the citizens would be able to see through deception and that those who know the underlying truth of each sitation would have the courage to speak out about what is real and what is true in that nation. I pray that the citizens would stop working in the opium fields and would find better ways to provide for their families, so that the drug trade that has been fueling terrorism and oppression might be cripled.

Dear Father in Heaven, for the troops and their commanders, please give them extraordinary wisdom and insight to be aware of what is going on around them and what steps they need to take for safety and for good and workable solutions to free Afghanistan from terror and oppression and leave that nation in a much better situation than what existed there at the start of this war. I also pray for President Obama that he would be convicted that he needs to lay aside politics for now and make some very important decisions concerning the commitment of troops to Afghanistan. May he be fully aware that any delay in making these decisions has the potential of strengthening the resolve of the Taliban and perhaps compromising the safety of the troops that are presently in that nation.

I am in awe when I consider how You are all-knowing. Nothing escapes Your divine knowledge. You are aware of the plans of those who plot violence in Afghanistan and You know just what it would take to thwart those plans. I pray You will give Your assistance to the troops and others who are fighting to keep the peace in Afghanistan. Help them to be supernaturally aware of what needs to be done to disarm the enemy before they have the ability to act violently. Give the troops insight that could only come from You, something beyond their human capabilities. And I pray they will recognize the source of their knowledge and give You the thanks You deserve for preserving their lives and the lives of many others in the land that would be lost were it not for Your divine intervention. What a marvelous God You are! I praise You for the wonders You have once again brought to be in the world today. May Your will be done and I pray our prayers are within Your will for the good of our brothers and sisters in Christ in Afghanistan and for the good of those who are potentially Your adopted children in that land. Father, Protect our soldiers in Afghanistan. See to it that their equipment and supplies are exactly what they need and that they are properly equipped for all their tasks. Give them wisdom and discernment whether they are eating, sleeping, or working. Keep them alert and focused when they are at work. And bless them when they sleep, LORD, set Your protecting angels over them so that they can rest completely and be refreshed. Dearest Lord: Please let Your Eyes move to and fro for expert Helicpter craftsmen and repairmen to drop their ambitions and livlihoods and rush to Afghanistan. Let nothing deter them. Let them cut thru the red tape and go start fixing the H.’s that our precious US Soldiers are using. Lord, You have done things like this before. Calling Helicopter Heros, where are you? Forget about everything, just serve the Lord and your fellow US Soldiers who are dying for mechanical errors. Please use your God Given Gift of mechanics to save their lives. God will give you a crown and bless you and your family in this life too. Lord, kindly comfort the families and fellow US Soldiers that have lost 14 yesterday and 8 today. In two days, 22 precious young strong and healthy patriotic men died in the line of duty. God have mercy. God come to us. We mourn this great loss but have the hope of the Resurrection.
