“Prayer is the contact of a living soul with God. Prayer fills man’s emptiness with God’s fullness. Prayer fills man’s poverty with God’s riches. Prayer puts away man’s weakness with the coming of His strength.” E.M. Bounds

Have you ever felt your prayers weren’t what they should be, but you didn’t know why? You know, you have a concern about someone or something, but when you pray about it, there is just no life, no hope, no victory in your praying? Well, this little booklet is designed to help you move up to a new level of intimacy, boldness, and victory in prayer.

Over the last few years, God has given us an ABC approach to prayer; Abiding, Believing, Confronting. These three elements work together like the three strands of a cord to give you a strong, effective prayer life. Whenever your prayer life gets a little frayed around the edges, you are certain to find one or more of these areas is being neglected.

Abiding puts us in intimate contact with God where we can know His heart and will.

Believing connects us with God’s authority and His mighty promises.

Confronting is the application of God’s will and His word to see His kingdom come.

All together, abiding, believing and confronting enable us to pray with God’s heart, according to His Word, in the confidence of His authority.

This series is designed to strengthen these three areas of your prayer life through scripture saturation, and daily practice. For 10 days you will focus on abiding, allowing God’s word to draw you into His presence. For the next 10 days, you will renew your mind with the promises of God, and build up your faith. Then for 10 days you will stand in the authority of Christ against His enemies, proclaiming God’s word.

Each entry can be used as a daily devotion, and has a series of scripture verses arranged by topic, as well as a sample prayer for application. Please use these prayers as a starting point only and let the Spirit of God guide you from there.
