Day-25 Peace – Don’t Leave Home Without It

“Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace of God which transcends understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7

Today’s Word:

Today’s word is about peace. The world offers many things that are similar to what Jesus offers, except without the source. Some attempt to achieve peace through meditation or yoga, which requires ritual or regime. Jesus doesn’t offer peace like that. He offers it through Himself, the Prince of Peace. If you are a disciple of Jesus, a follower of Him, then He extends Himself to you, so just receive the Prince of Peace right now.

The peace of the Lord be upon you,
Peace of the Lord come now,
Let everything else take a bow.
Peace that transcends our anxieties by prayer and petition we offer to Thee.
Thank you, oh Burden Bearer of our soul.
Prince of Peace we welcome you,
Prince of Peace we welcome you now.

Scripture:

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” -Isaiah 9:6

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” -John 14:27

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” -John 16:33

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.” -Psalm 4:8

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.” -Isaiah 26:3-4
